Buena Vista Games opens new studio for Wii & DS Disney games

Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man\'s ChestBuena Vista Games (BVG) has opened their new Fall Line Studio dedicated to projects for the Wii and DS systems. Based in Salt Lake City, USA, the small team has said its focus “is to develop games based on Disney’s characters, television shows and entertainment franchises as well as creating new intellectual property for the Nintendo DS and Wii game systems.”

Fall Line Studio will operate as a sister studio to Buena Vista Games’ Avalanche Software studio.

“This studio will be one of our centres of creative excellence and it gives us the ability to fully capitalise on our properties and expand our market share on Nintendo platforms,” said Graham Hopper, general manager of BVG.

“BVG has an excellent management team, a can-do corporate culture and a treasure trove of great intellectual properties that make it exciting for us to start something new,” said Scott Novis, vice president of Fall Line Studio.
