Real-life “Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan” personal cheerleaders exist

Elite Beat AgentsOsu! Tatakae! Ouendan” (Go! Fight! Cheer Squad) is a Nintendo DS rhythm game in Japan from 2005. America is getting a localized version late in 2006 titled Elite Beat Agents. In the game a someone facing a problem will cry “Ouendan!” when their conflict reaches a climax. This call summons the cheer squad, and the song starts. The player uses the Nintendo DS’ stylus to either tap numbered circles, trace lines or spin spinners, timing these actions with the music. And thus helping cheer on the person with a problem, so all will be well in the end. (yeah it’s vague but fun)

This week found in Japan is a real, live, personal cheerleading squad. Who knew that “Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!” was based on reality?
