World of Warcraft will get yearly expansions

World of Warcraft Expansion: Burning CrusadeBlizzard COO Paul Sams revealed their MMORGP World of Warcraft plans today: “Starting with The Burning Crusade, every year thereafter we plan on bringing out a new expansion set – so every 12 months.” he says in an interview with GI.

The Burning Crusade is the first expansion pack to be released for World of Warcraft. According to Mr. Sams, details of the beta will be announced in the near future. As for the release date – “We’re still quoting very confidently winter and we will be more specific on the timeframe quite soon.” We, personally, expect the release dates to be October 15 in the US and November 1 in Europe.
