4 Tales of Bandai Namco games for PS2 & PSP

Bandai Namco has announced three new PSP releases and one PS2 release in the Tales RPG series for Japan.

PS2: A remake of the classic PSone RPG Tales of Destiny for PS2, as you can see on the screenshot above, the PS2 remake will have revamped battle system, 3D graphics and a large number of additional events and side quests throughout the story.

PSP #1: A brand new Tales RPG for PSP, titled Tales of the World. In the game you can customize the appearance of the protagonist at the beginning, including facial features, hair style and clothing.

PSP #2: A port of Tales of Phantasia in Japan for release on September 7, 2006, the first game in the Tales series. The PSP version will be based on the PSone version of the game, which includes a new opening movie from Production I.G. and voice acting which were not found in the SFC or GBA version.

PSP #3: Tales of Destiny 2 for PSP, ported over from PS2, the game is scheduled for a 2007 release in Japan. The-magicbox notes that this game has never been released outside of Japan, the English version of Tales of Destiny 2 for PSone is actually Tales of Eternia.

So here’s to hoping these games make it out of Japan. Oh and one more thing, rumor has it a Tales game for the Wii, PS3 or Xbox 360 will be announced soon.
