Rediscover a Classic

StarCraft Remastered upgrades the essential sci-fi strategy experience from beginning to end. Welcome back to the original game and its award-winning expansion, StarCraft: Brood War.

We’ve remastered our units, buildings, and environments, improved game audio, and broadened our supported resolutions. Illustrated interludes bring the struggles and victories of heroes like Artanis, Fenix, Tassadar, Raynor and Kerrigan to life like never before. Most importantly, the strategy gameplay that StarCraft perfected years ago remains unchanged.

Highlighted Features

• Remastered Graphics
• Revised Dialogue and Audio
• Blizzard Friends and Matchmaking
• Classic StarCraft Gameplay

Breakthrough Tech

In StarCraft Remastered, we’ve kept everything you love about StarCraft, but upgraded everything else.

Detailed Visuals – Zoom out for a Battlecruiser’s view of the battlefield, or zoom in to see the veins on a Mutalisk’s wings.

Stylized Briefings – Race-themed comic book interludes tell the original story with a fresh coat of paint.

Ampted Audio – The original soundtrack and dialogue, re-recorded and rejuvenated.

Real Time Strategy Restored

Command the mechanized Terrans, psi-powered Protoss, and insectoid Zerg as they vie for map control of eight unique environments. Build your base and conscript your army in a real-time, military sci-fi vision of the future.

Once you’ve finished the campaign, go head-to-head or team up with other players online. Pit StarCraft’s iconic, radically-different races against one another in the ultimate theater of war.

Return to the Koprulu Sector

The galactic story of intrigue and cosmic warfare that culminated in StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void began years ago, in the far reaches of the Milky Way. Three races—the Earth-expat Terrans, the psionic Protoss warriors, and the world-devouring Zerg—encounter each other for the first time, beginning a conflict that spans worlds (and more than 50 missions).

During an interview with Yahoo! Esports, StarCraft Remastered producer Pete Stilwell revealed that Blizzard will release the StarCraft Anthology, which includes the original StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War, as a free download.
