Game Boy Horror a reality?! Remember Luigi’s Mansion, that quirky launch game for the equally quirky cube-shaped box that also played games with a carrying-handle known as the Nintendo GameCube? (I’m not knocking it. Mine is hooked up right now & I use it to play Game Boy Player regularly!). If you do, or if you are a videogame collector, then this one is for you!
If you don’t remember the Game Boy Horror, here it is in action.
Now check out a real-life, working, Game Boy Horror! It can be your’s for a cool $150/£102! (Hit the link to buy one yourself!)
Only ten of these fully-functioning special Game Boy Color systems are being made by manufacturer “8-Bit Evolution”. The best part… If you do snag one for yourself, all the proceeds are going to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network & the Extra Life Initiative for charity across the U.S. & Canada. The money raised will go to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care for sick children.
The coolest part is that this special-edition, unofficial Game Boy Color comes fully-boxed, as if it was a real retail product; and is not only “Game Boy Horror-branded” (and a unique, translucent color); but it also includes a special “Ghost Hunter’s Field Guide” booklet, and other bonus items in a professionally printed Game Boy Color box with Luigi’s Mansion artwork.

Hopefully more of these things will be made once they sell out. I’d definitely like to own one myself!
Very, very cool. This will definitely be a fun collector’s item to own, or track-down, in the future!
