Fast Racing Neo Indie Game Brings F-Zero-Like Gameplay to Wii U

Fast Racing Neo has a release date of December 10th 2015 and is a supersonic racing game inspired by Nintendo’s F-Zero franchise, being developed by Nintendo 3rd Party “Shin’en Multimedia”.

Check out this video of Fast Racing Neo in action at 20:11 minutes in.

If you haven’t heard of them, “Shin’en” is the small Indie company behind the likes of the Nano Assault series, Art of Balance series, Fun! Fun! Minigolf series, Nanostray series, JetRocket series, Iridion series (Iridion 3D & Iridion II on GBA), Maya the Bee GBA series and PS4’s Nano Assault Neo X (to name a few). They mostly make digital Nintendo titles, and have filled the eShop platform with some great games. In the absence of a true next-gen F-Zero, Fast Racing Neo will have to do!

This game looks incredible!

Fast Racing Neo is the sequel to WiiWare’s 2011 racer, FAST Racing League. Fast Racing League was very well recieved and was seen as a truly great WiiWare game on the original Wii, a game which few people probably played.

So it’s great to see a sequel on the Wii U, which will hopefully reach more people.

Check out this review of the first game, FAST Racing League, to see what’s in store for “Fast Racing Neo”.

Fast Racing Neo offers non-stop adrenaline pumping racing action at 60 Frames Per Second.

Fast Racing Neo may just be “the fastest racing game you’ve ever experienced.”

Try to master the supersonic gameplay to reach hypersonic speed and play through a sizeable single-player campaign.

Or race seven other players online. You can also race up to four friends in local multiplayer which has a four-player splitscreen mode (woot!).

If you unlock “Hero Mode”, there’s a whole new set of rules and challenges to face. Fast Racing Neo will be released exclusively for Wii U next week.

I never played the original “FAST Racing League”… And I am just hearing about “FAST Racing Neo”.

BOY am I impressed! This game looks absolutely awesome.

As a big fan of the F-Zero franchise (read my SNES F-Zero review from 2007!), I have been increasingly disappointed that Nintendo seems to have abandoned our favorite futuristic racing series. Thankfully, it looks like developer Shin’en is more than up to the task!

If I didn’t know better… i would think that this WAS F-Zero!

Hot holy hell is this game fast! And it looks absolutely GORGEOUS on the Wii U.

It also looks like Nintendo is publishing this game… And that Shin’en and Nintendo have a very close relationship.

Could it be…. Could there be a chance that Nintendo would tap Shin’en to develop the NEXT actual F-Zero game? Let’s say for Nintendo NX…..

Time will tell… Let’s see how this game sells.
