E3 2015 EA Press Conference Roundup

The E3 2015 EA Press Conference broadcast aired today, has revealed brand new information about EA’s Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PS4 & PS3 game lineup. EA’s E3 2015 keynote conference started on June 15th at 1:00AM PDT / 4:00PM EDT / 9:00PM GMT and lasted an hour and a half. What follows is a bulletpoints roundup

Exciting surprises this year were: Mass Effect: Andromeda, Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire, Unravel, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, and Star Wars Battlefront 2015.

• Mass Effect: Andromeda announced with CGI trailer! Coming Holiday 2016.
• Need for Speed 2015 live-action trailer of the reboot. Game environments are twice the size of Need for Speed: Rivals. Coming November 3, 2015.
• Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion pack coming October 27, 2015. Goes back to heavy story focus. Free for all subscribers.
• Unravel indie game being published by EA. Physics-based puzzle platformer with a main character called Yarny. It’s the red thread of yarn through someone’s life that you weave throughout the game. Looks like a CGi movie! unravelgame.com
• Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 confirmed. “Go big. Have fun.” slogan. 6 million players of the original and your characters carry over to the sequel. Zombies won, so now the plants go on the attack! Live gameplay demo shows all the classes in action on Graveyard Ops. Includes solo play against AI or with a co-op couch friend. Coming Spring 2016.
• NHL 16 new hockey sports game announced for 2015. Built on fan feedback.
• Rory McIlroy PGA Tour golf game announced for 2015.
• NBA Live 16 basketball game announced for September 29, 2015. Self-expression Gameface HD scanning tech puts your face in the game using your mobile phone. Live-motion physics-based contextual and free-flow player movement and improved ball movement, including new shot system to give you complete control all over the court.
• Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes from EA Mobile coming later in 2015. Spans the entire Star Wars universe.
• Minions Paradise is a builder Mobile game starring the Minion Phil on a tropical island where you must make your mischievious friends happy sims-style.
• FIFA 16 announced by legendary soccer player Pele. FIFA Trainer will help you compete at a higher level. For the first time ever women’s teams are in the game.
• Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst confirmed as the name of the reboot. Parkour free-runner Faith returns as the rebellious herione of the city ruled by THE corporation. Free-roaming, so no levels nor loading, throughout a massive city. Coming February 23, 2016.
• Madden NFL 16 teaser trailer shown. Fantasy football experience and other features explained in game demo, followed by a new trailer. Coming August 25, 2015.
• Star Wars Battlefront 2015. Actual Hoth battle multiplayer (pre-alpha) gameplay footage shown of the PS4 version. Looks epic! Ends in Darth Vader VS Luke Skywalker. Coming November 17, 2015.
