The Witcher 3 Glitches
World End Border Glitch
Location: Where ever you reach the world’s end barrier near a cliff. For example near Velen’s No Man’s Land area at the Destroyed Bastion. (Still works as of patch 1.03.)
Glitch Description: Here’s how to surpass the world’s end border in The Witcher 3! When you’re near a cliff and the game warns you that “You’ve reached the world’s end. Turn back.” ride your horse with a quick turn into the cliff. As you start to fall down the side of the cliff, you’ll automatically be brought to the game’s map screen (to fast travel elsewhere) but instead you’ll be selecting Velen again on the map screen only to see your horse disappear in the game. At which point Geralt will keep sliding down the side of the cliff, since the game didn’t put him back properly on steady land. So you can keep walking past the world’s end border in a sort of placeholder area where you normally can’t reach!
After a bit of luck and persistence, you’ll find yourself able to pass by the triggers that would normally reset you back onto the majority of the world, and you’re able to go out past the world’s typical borders and barriers, and explore what’s out there! Until you end up in a big old swimming pool.
How To Fix The Glitch: Restart to your previous checkpoint or savefile. But this is actually a really fun way to explore the areas outside of the usual invisible border. 🙂

Out-of-Map Freefalling
Location: When stepping out of a boat onto the mainland.
Glitch Description: This is the typical out-of-bounds map glitch that shows the entire area you’re in from high above in the sky as you freefall down to the ground after glitching to the “roof of the world”.
How To Fix The Glitch: Usually solves itself, if not, load the last checkpoint or savefile.

Invisible Horse Glitch
Location: When calling for your horse Roach anywhere.
Glitch Description: After calling your horse, you might find yourself with a ghost horse instead. Roach will appear with just her saddle, tail and a pair of creepy staring eyeballs! Ride her at will, as it just seems that the horse-body textures might in rare occasions not get loaded.
How To Fix The Glitch: Abandon your horse and a little later call for your horse again.
Here’s an example glitch video:
Note: There have been reports of a never-ending “You cannot save right now” glitch on Xbox One and an “unskippable opening cutscene” glitch on PS4. But in such severe cases, the developer will usually issue a patch to correct serious game-breaking bugs like that within the week.
