Finding all 25 Place of Power Stone locations and picking them up will help unlock the following Achievement / Trophy:
* “Power Overwhelming” (15 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Have all possible Place of Power bonuses active at the same time.
* Bonus: After you activate each Place of Power, you will earn you a Skill Point and receive a significant boost for one of each of your Signs (Aard, Igni, Axii, Quen & Yrden).

How to find missing Place of Power Stones?: In-game the Place of Power Stones will appear simply as large ritual stone shrines standing upright in the forest, with a light inside that you can activate when you stand next to it. It can be confirmed as being Place of Power Stones simply by walking up to it, as the on-screen text will then tell you can press the action button/key to “Hold to Draw”.

Note: “Draw from a Place of Power to gain a temporary bonus. The first time you draw from any Place of Power, you also receive 1 Ability Point.” So you’ll earn a Skill Point and receive a notable boost to each of your Signs.

Does the game save each Place of Power Stones you collect?: No, you need to manually save after successfully completing these tasks and receiving all Skill Points. – On top of that the Place of Power Stones you activated only have a temporary effect, at the time of activation its effect for each Sign will be active for 30 minutes.

Location: All 5 are found in the area where the game starts you out in called White Orchard.

If you’re going after the “Power Overwhelming” trophy / achievement to get all Place of Power bonuses active at the same time. Then in order to activate each of the 5 stone shrines, they have to be activated in quick succession within 30 minutes. Luckily you’ll be able to use your horse and/or fast travel between Place of Power locations, but you’ll have plenty of time left by the time you’re done.

Tip: The Place of Power Stones are marked with a question mark on the in-game map until you’ve discovered each one. So you can use the map shown at the top of this guide and at the start of the video below to get exact locations.
