One representing each girl, the Angelic Jupiel or the Devilish Ariael; or for $5 more you can get a Collector’s Edition Boxset that includes everything in both sets as well as a special “Fate Coin”.

The best part about all this is the price. The individual sets will cost you only $55 ($5 more than the standard edition with no extras), whereas the “Ultimate Fate” boxset only cost $60 / £60 GBP. That’s an absolutely fantastic price for all that’s included.

Here is what the Awakened Fate Ultimatum “Ultimate Fate” Collector’s Edition Boxset includes:

* The Awakened Fate Ultimatum – PS3 Game (Physical)

* Full-Color Hardcover Art Book (Physical)

* Collector’s Box (Physical)

* Original Soundtrack CD with Jewel Case (Physical)

* Jupiel (Angelic) Card Set (5 cards) [Physical]

* Ariael (Devilish) Card Set (5 cards) [Physical]

* BONUS! Fate Coin (Double-Sided) [Physical]

The individual sets include the Art Book, Soundtrack CD and a set of cards for whatever girl’s set you choose (Ariael or Jupiel).

All of the sets can be purchased online via the official NIS America USA online store or the NIS America Europe online store.

It’s well-worth noting that this game is a follow-up to the 2013 PS3 title, “The Guided Fate Paradox” (although each game’s story is self-contained, so you don’t have to have played the previous title to enjoy the new one). That game also had a Collector’s Edition which is SUPER-RARE and highly expensive. But if you are a collector, you may want to track it down. It sells for over $200, and includes the following:

* Physical Copy of the Guided Fate Paradox Game; Full-color Hardcover Art Book; 2-disc Original Soundtrack CD with Jewel Case, Exclusive Mat-Framed Art Print from Noizi Ito, and 8 Characters Cards; All in a Premium Collector’s Box. The NIS America website also has additional swag you can purchase from The Guided Fate Paradox, including a Pin Set for $7 and a “Angel Gaze” Wallscroll for $30.

Key Features of The Guided Fate Paradox included:

* In-depth customization featuring off the wall armor, weapons, and more. Want tank treads for legs? Or maybe race car legs instead? Well, there you go!

* 3D randomly generated dungeons offer floor after floor of surprises. Don’t be afraid to die, you’re God! The levels you gain while dungeon delving will help boost your stats.

* Features the beautiful artwork of Noizi Ito (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). Hi-resolution 3D sprites offer sublime visuals while you ogre through the game’s ethereal dungeons. You won’t be alone though, as angels are by your side.

* Disgaea-inspired over-the-top special attacks allow you to crush your enemies with creativity drizzled with a slight hint of levity.

I’m glad to see NIS America stepping up and awarding JRPG fans with a Collector’s Edition for a ROGUELIKE RPG! Now THAT is a rare thing indeed! Thus Nippon Ichi should definitely be applauded!

Roguelikes are among the rarest form of RPGs. If you don’t know what a Roguelike is, it’s an RPG focused primarily on traversing randomized dungeons & level-grinding, where the difficulty is generally “Very Hard” from the outset. They usually feature a grid or tile-based battle system, top-down sprite-graphics and, most unique-of-all, extreme consequences for dying; typically the loss of everything you have on you and being reset to the start of the dungeon (Losing all progress made or permadeath, where the death of that character is permanent). Some Roguelikes that come to the West from Japanese developers are made less frustrating so they are easier to get into, such as the “Pokemon Mystery Dungeon” series or the “Chocobo Mystery Dungeon” games. This subgenre of RPG are called “Roguelikes” because the formula is based on an ancient Western PC RPG called “Rogue” released in 1980 for PC systems like the Amiga and Commodore 64.

Will you be picking up either of the three The Awakened: Fate Ultimatum Collector’s Editions?
