Microsoft has demonstrated how the Xbox One will interact with Windows 10, and how they will further integrate all their platforms and various devices.

Windows 10 will do more to integrate Windows with Xbox Live than any other version of Windows yet.

To that end, if you haven’t already heard, Windows 10 will include an “Xbox App” that is the follow-up to what was previously called “Xbox SmartGlass“; which allowed you to use your phone or tablet to interact with Xbox 360 & Kinect.

The Xbox App on Windows 10 will ensure that Xbox gamers who use Windows devices, be it PC, Tablet, Cellphone or other devices like Surface or Hololens, will always be connected to their Xbox One experience.

The App allows you to view the games you own (across both PC & Xbox One, including Steam), your Xbox One friends list, your messages (which you can send or receive) and your Activity Feed.

One of the biggest new features of the Xbox App is the ability to stream your Xbox One gameplay to any PC or mobile device that has the Xbox App.

And, depending on the game, Crossplay will be enabled where Xbox One & PC gamers using Windows 10 can play together, such as in Fable Legends.

GameDVR will also be available on Windows 10, which allows you to capture images and gameplay footage of games, even Steam titles, and upload them to social media or share with Xbox One.

Many more features are coming as well, watch the video above for more on that.

It’s good to see Microsoft further integrating their various platforms.

This is definitely the future. We live in a connected world where very few people only use one device.

The more sharing that can go on the better.
