It’s an interesting premise to have these unwilling partners form a foursome of adventurers. The group looked to be falling apart until they find a secret chamber in the Atlas base, which holds a digital map that shows the way to a new Vault on Pandora. I said foursome, but as Episode 1 ends, we found out the mystery voice talking to Rhys is actually a copy of Handsome Jack’s consciousness made digital and it shows up as a hologram (but seemingly only appears to Rhys). The Handsome Jack Hologram explains that the map is part of the “Gortys Project”, the goal of which is of course to find & open a Vault.

February 2015 Update: Episode 1 of Tales from the Borderlands (Nov. 25) arrived first and Game of Thrones (Dec. 2) followed one week later. Unlike those first episodes, Telltale has opted not to keep releasing subsequent episodes in the same order for both its currently in production series for the first half of 2015. Instead, Game of Thrones Episode 2 was released at the start of the month (Feb. 3) with Tales from the Borderlands not accompanying it the week before. Combine this with the complete lack of new info about Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2 and it’s clear to see there’s been a production delay of at least one month. We’ll keep you up to date if we hear more in March 2015 at the earliest.
