Level Up Tips: After you reach level 8 through normal story progression, you should grind XP by going on the main mission “A New Direction” (which is available at that point in the story). There’s a final boss “RedBelly” you can farm by quickly saving & quitting at the right time.

Redbelly has two phases to the battle (both are easy for you to tackle from level 8 onwards), the second phase will starts when his helmet comes off. When this happens, be sure not to kill the helmet. Focus only on RedBelly. The easiest way to kill redbelly is to get him to chase you back to the venting machines. Redbelly is programmed not to leave his area so he won’t enter the room. You can now shoot him from a safe distance. When redbelly is defeated, Jack will say “who the hell were those weirdos” when he finished saying that, pause the game, select save & quit. When you’re back at the main menu, press continue, then run back to redbelly and kill him again. To save some time, you can jump over garage by jumping on the lamppost, then jumping on the garage. When you’re on the garage, jump on the sign, then leap over the wall and proceed to RedBelly’s location.

Repeat the process until you’re happy with your level. Using this method you’ll gain lots of experience points fast. In the example shown above you’ll reach character level 14 very quickly!

Important Note: If you don’t save & quit at the right time, the mission will proceed and you won’t be able to farm “RedBelly” again until later on in the game.

Level Up Tips – Part 2: Now let’s take you from level 14 to level 17 at a speed of 2,000 XP per minute!

Play through the Main Missions until you reach “Titan Industry Factory”. When you enter “Titan Industry Factory”, Walk down the stairs and wait for the “Tork Swarming” enemies to attack you. Gather as many Tork as you can around you, then jump in the air and ground smash with B. this will instantly kill all the enemies around you giving you massive amounts of XP. When you’ve killed all of the Tork pause the game, save & quit. When the main menu shows up, select continue and you will spawn back at the top of the stairs. Repeat the process until you’re satisfied with your level. These enemies also dropped moonstones, so be sure to check the loot that they drop.

How to Level Up Multiple Characters At The Same Time:

PC players can level up multiple characters simultaneously in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. After starting the game with your main character, load another instance (or multiple instances) by pressing the ALT + TAB buttons to get back to your desktop and load the game again via the install directory’s BorderlandsPreSequel.exe file. Then set your main/master game to a LAN connection and then “find game” to locate your second game with your second character. To prevent the game running multiple times at the same time, causing slowdown issues, it’s best to set the secondary games to the lowest performance settings and to Windowed Mode, so they don’t eat up all your computer’s resources and possibly crash. – You’ll still need a pretty fast computer to pull this off, though.

This same trick DOES work for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players if they add an extra player by split-screen (works up to 4 players).

Important: This trick will help you get new level 1 characters up to level 8 and even level 16 by playing just a few side-missions! As long as your highest level (main) character serves as the host, your other characters in your party will gain XP and thus level up much more from tougher quests.
