Destiny: How To Unlock Shaders (Outfits)

Find out in Destiny how to unlock Shaders (Outfits), how to buy & change Shaders, and see exactly what ALL Shaders will look like before spending your hard-earned money or time on getting them! You know, to add some much-needed color variation to what you’re wearing! 🙂

This video is an outfits guide that shows character Shaders in Destiny, what they are, and where to buy them. Then how to change to a different Shader in-game by going to the bottom-right Equipment section of your character overview screen. The example given is the Polar Oak Shader which is green and white, opposed to other Shaders like the Provincial Royal that you will originally wear.

Index of Destiny Guides:

When Do Shaders Become Available?: You cannot use Shaders until your character reaches level 20, at which point you’ll be mailed on in-game. So until then you won’t see them (nor can you buy or select them) at the Guardian Outfitter vendor Eva Levante, in the Tower North.

Note: You can buy Shaders with Glimmer for cheap at the Tower, they require no reputation with any particular in-game faction. – The Guardian Outfitter vendor’s stock refreshes once upon a blue moon (I kid, I kid, I don’t know when it will finally give us new outfits).

Different Colors For Each Class?: That’s right, the same Shader will change its dominant color based on the Titan, Warlock or Hunter class that wears the outfit.

Example: For Warlocks the color palette of your gear will be the opposite of Hunters. Polar Oak is White with a hint of green opposed to army greens with a white cape, Jester Apogee is more purple than orange, and so on.
