Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Demo Shows USA San Francisco Collapse Gameplay

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was one of the highlights of the Xbox One Gamescom 2014 Microsoft Press Conference, where they showed the first gameplay of the San Francisco, California campaign level known as “Collapse”.

In addition to showing off Collapse, Microsoft was able to confirm that upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC will hit Xbox One first before it hits PS4. This is a pretty big GET for Microsoft, even if it’s only timed-exclusivity.

“Activision and Sledgehammer Games released a new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer showcasing the multiplayer portion of the game. With the all-new exoskeleton, players can boost jump, dodge, dash, slide, slam and more as the action goes vertical, while using future-tech, cutting-edge capabilities and a brand-new weapon class as part of nearly 350 custom weapons.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will offer a new reward system, including more than 1,000 in-game player rewards, and nearly limitless customization options that create more than 2 billion unique player combinations and more.”

In addition, here is the same Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Collapse footage but with developer commentary added!

I’m not a COD player, in fact I’ve never played a single one of the games, but, like all of the rest, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare looks mighty fine and mighty-awesome. Ferry likes to refer to COD as the perfect “summer popcorn game”, and judging by the footage I’d have to agree.

I’m definitely excited to one-day jump in and play through all of the Call of Duty single-player campaigns. I could give a rip about the multiplayer since I’m not a competitive gamer. But the single-player looks really fun. I’m totally digging the futuristic vibe as well.

Did you already pre-order Advanced Warfare and will you be picking it up on Day Zero?
