Pierce Brosnan & Jimmy Fallon Play N64 GoldenEye 007 Together. Fallon Lives His Dream

Jimmy Fallon has become the only person in the world who can legitimately say he played GoldenEye 007 on N64 WITH Pierce Brosnan, the actor who played James Bond in the GoldenEye movie! What a lucky guy!

“Good luck, Mr. Bond.” Hahahaha. Just watch. This moment is going down in history!

Since Jimmy is now host of The Tonight Show, the world is finally getting to see videogames in the same light that us younger generation of gamers sees them in. And boy is it a glorious thing!

No longer is it awkward or shameful to mention videogames in a normal sentence, even with an actor like Pierce Brosnan sitting next to you!

No former Talk Show Host would have the guts to do something like this, and it is absolutely hilarious to watch!

Jimmy talks about how GoldenEye 007 was one of his favorite games growing up and during his college years. All of us gamers remember it, it needs no introduction.

Without Rare & Nintendo’s GoldenEye 007 on N64, there’d be no Halo or Call of Duty today.

GoldenEye set the standard and was the 1997 videogame First-Person Shooter that truly broke the “Doom-Clone” (remember that phrase?) model by introducing all manner of FPS conventions that still remain with us today, from dual-wielding to stealth, from intelligent AI to multiple gunshot wound animations, from four-player Deathmatch to multiple difficulties to “Objectives” (the first time that term was used) that changed based on the difficulty setting. GoldenEye 007 was a trailblazer.

The gaming world knows this, but the outside world is oblivious.

Now however, even mainstream news outlets like People Magazine Online are forced to write about it and inform their readers in order to set the stage for this epic moment with Pierce & Jimmy.

It’s like the world has gone crazy!

Do you realize that they are talking about GoldenEye 007 N64 on the biggest Late Night Talk Show and it’s the year 2014?! So. Awesome. There are no words!

All of us gamers have to give Jimmy mad-props for this one! THIS is great TV!
