Final Fantasy Batman? Tetsuya Nomura Creates Badass Dark Knight Figure

Final Fantasy Meets Batman? What would happen if the universe of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy crossed over with DC Comics and their Caped Crusader?

Well… It’d look something like THIS!

Final Fantasy The Dark Knight, anyone? This badass version of Batman was created by longtime Final Fantasy artist Tetsuya Nomura, who collaborated with DC Comics to create this amazing “DC Comics Variant Play Arts Action Figure“, which will be fully revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 this month.

As you can see, this new version of Batman is completely different than any other version that has come before him. He’s darker, more menacing, more badass, more demonic looking. He almost looks robotic.

Major changes have also been made. He has crazy dragon like wings on his back (with crazy weird extending talons) and an evil, horn-like red helmet. Absolutely menacing.

No price or release details have been announced yet, but the physical toy version of this thing is sure to be pricey. For collectors, though, it will CERTAINLY be worth the price. I mean just look at this thing!

Now let us dream of a true Final Fantasy Versus DC Comics crossover ala Kingdom Hearts. Could you imagine? BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!

Are you coveting this Final Fantasy Batman? (Yes I’m aware that’s not actually what it’s called. But that’s the easiest way to refer to it IMHO.) Will you be adding Tetsuya Nomura’s epic take on The Dark Knight to your toy collection?
