The Last Guardian PS4 E3 2014 confirmation coming soon? It’s only speculation, but Sony has officially confirmed that The Last Guardian lives, after rumors began circulating recently that the game had finally been cancelled.
Scott Rohde, Sony’s Worldwide Studios PlayStation Software Product Head for the U.S., confirmed the current development of The Last Guardian via his official Twitter account.

He was responding to a tweet by “Colin Moriarty@notaxation” who tweeted: “Sorry, y’all. The Last Guardian is no more” and linked to a sensationalist article “confirming” The Last Guardian as being “officially cancelled”.
Scott responded: “@notaxation @yosp and I laughed at this rumor over dinner. The Last Guardian has NOT been cancelled.”
So there you have it.
Absolutely no details were given on the long-awaited follow-up to “ICO” and “Shadow of the Colossus” by developer “Team ICO”, a game that has been in development for over 7 long, long years. And has been highly anticipated since it’s original announcement way back at E3 2009 for PS3.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Last Guardian, it is a game in which you play as a boy who befriends a giant feathered bird-like beast named “Trico”. It planned to take the themes of friendship, love, and loyalty explored in ICO and Shadow of the Colossus to new heights on the PlayStation 3.
As you’d explore the world as the boy, your Guardian could help you, and would grow, mature and change as he became more friendly towards you throughout the story. Eventually you’d ride him. It looked interesting then, and is still one of the most desired PlayStation-exclusives for Sony fans.
