Crafting Oculi will help unlock the following Achievements / Trophy:
* “Master Oculist” (10G on Xbox 360 / 20G on Xbox One / Bronze Trophy) — Craft Oculi.
* “Through the Looking Glass” (10G on Xbox 360 / 20G on Xbox One) — Send Oculi to a friend.

Child of Light Oculi Crafting Guide

Oculi Menu:

From the Pause menu, select “Oculi”. The Oculi menu allows you to equip Oculi on every piece of your equipment. Oculi will boost the attributes of your party members and grant them special abilities.

Craft Oculi:

As you progress through the game, you’ll collect Oculi. From the Oculi menu go to the “Craft Oculi” menu that allows you to mix Oculi together to create stronger Oculi.

Oculi Gifting:

You can send an Oculi to a friend by going to the Pause menu, select Oculi, and selecting one of the three slots that say “No Oculi Equipped” below “Craft Oculi”. Next, move your cursor over an Oculi that you want to give away, and at the right-bottom of your screen you’ll see a button prompt “GIFT” the Oculi to a friend. It’s the X button on Xbox / Square button on PlayStation / Y button on Wii U / Left CTRL key on PC.

How Many Crafting Combination:

There are more than 30 crafting recipes. The player can place their oculi in 3 different places: sword, armor or talisman and the effects will be different depending on their position,. You can mix and match to find the perfect combination. If you add in all of the different characters that join Aurora during the course of the game, it adds up to more than 600 combinations available.

The type of oculi found in the game will differ from player to player. We encourage talking to your friends who play the game and swap Oculi to create a combination that works for you.

Crafting Combinations Guide:

To craft an oculi, you simply need to combine multiple stones to create a new, different type. You can increase the quality of a stone type by combining three like stones together:

3 x Rough = Tumbled
3 x Tumbled = Faceted
3 x Faceted = Brilliant

You can also combine the stones in different ways, allowing you to create a new type of stone with an increased rarity. The available combinations are listed below:

• Sapphire + Ruby = Amethyst
• Sapphire + Emerald = Tourmaline
• Ruby + Emerald = Citrine
• Sapphire + Ruby + Emerald = Diamond
• Amethyst + Tourmaline + Citrine = Onyx
• Diamond + Onyx = Spinel
• Brilliant Diamond + Brilliant Onyx + Brilliant Spinel = Princess Stone

Crafting Combination Effects:

Oculi can be equipped to affect your attack, armor, or timeline. The quality of the stone will affect how strong the effect is. The changing values are marked in Orange, and the values for this number can be seen in the brackets, which list in order of Rough, Tumbled, Faceted & Brilliant. You can find a list of these effects below:

Sapphire:
Attack: Add Water to Melee Damage and increase attack power by X%. Water is strong on Fire, Weak on Lightning. (0%, 8%, 12%, 16%)
Armour: Increase Water damage resistance by X%. (8%, 14%, 18%, 24%)
Timeline: Additional X% chance of evading an attack while casting. (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%)

Ruby:
Attack: Add Fire to Melee Damage and increase attack power by X%. Fire is strong on Earth, Weak on Water. (0%, 8%, 12%, 16%)
Armour: Increase Fire damage resistance by X%. (8%, 14%, 18%, 24%)
Timeline: +X Max HP. (+4, +8, +12, +16)

Emerald:
Attack: Add Lightning to Melee Damage and increase attack power by X%. Lightning is strong on Water. (0%, 8%, 12%, 16%)
Armour: Increase Earth damage resistance by X%. (8%, 14%, 18%, 24%)
Timeline: +X Max MP. (+2, +4, +6, +8)

Tourmaline:
Attack: Attacks have a X% chance to cause paralysis for X seconds. (5% & 3, 10% & 3, 15% & 6, 20% & 6)
Armour: Reduce magical damage by X%. (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%)
Timeline: Increase Magic by X. (2, 4, 6, 8)

Amethyst:
Attack: Increase physical damage by X%, when HP drops below X%. (20% & 20%, 30% & 20%, 20% & 30%, 30% & 30%)
Armour: Reduce physical damage by X%. (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%)
Timeline: Increase magical damage by X%, when HP drops below X%. (20% & 20%, 30% & 20%, 20% & 30%, 30% & 30%)

Citrine:
Attack: Add Light to Melee Damage and increase attack power by X%. Light is strong on Dark. (0%, 10%, 15%, 20%)
Armour: Increase chace of dodging (%) by X when defending for X turn(s). (5 & 1, 10 & 1, ? & ?, 20 & 1)
Timeline: Increase by X% the chance to bump the targeted dark creature backwards on the Timeline. (5%, 10%, ?, 20%)

Diamond:
Attack: Increase speed by X. (1, 2, 4, 6)
Armour: Earn an additional X% XP from each battle. (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%)
Timeline: Increase casting speed by X%. (3%, 6, 9%, 12%)

Onyx:
Attack: Increase spell power by X%. (?, 15%, 20%, ?)
Armour: Reduce physical and magical damage received by X% when HP drops below X%. (20% & 20%, 30% & 20%, 20% & 30%, 30% & 30%)
Timeline: Increase chance (%) of dodging by X% while casting when HP drops below X%. (20% & 20%, 30% & 20%, 20% & 30%, 30% & 30%)

Spinel:
Attack: Increase attack power by X%. (15%, 20%, 25%, 30%)
Armour: Increase speed by X% for X turn(s) when interrupted. (10% & 1, 20% & 1, 30% & 1, ? & ?)
Timeline: Begin every turn X% forward on the Timeline (5%, 10%, 20%, 30%)

Princess Stone:
Attack: Increase attack power by 40%.
Armour: Reduce physical and magical damage by 25%.
Timeline: Increase spell power by 35%.

Erin’s Stone: (from the Golem’s Plight Pack DLC)
Attack: +2% critical hit chance
Armour: +2% dodge rate
Timeline: If the wearer dies in battle they recover to 50% HP at the end of battle.
