Ripper 2-in-1 SMG/AR in Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation

Buying Devastation automatically arms players with a deadly new addition to their arsenal with the Ripper 2-in-1 SMG/AR, a dual-purpose hybrid gun. The Ripper is the ideal weapon companion for Devastation’s mix of multiplayer maps. Providing players with two different configurations: medium to short-range capability as a Sub Machine-Gun (SMG), and medium to long-range as an Assault Rifle (AR). This unique 2-in-1 weapon has the ability to switch from SMG to AR and back again on the fly in the midst of battle, at the touch of a button, giving maximum flexibility to adjust to a variety of map types and tactics.

Note: As a bonus, Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass holders will get early access to the new Ripper weapon a few weeks before release on their respective platforms.

Tip: To switch between the SMG & AR modes throughout each match, simply aim down the sight and press the B button on Xbox / Circle button on PlayStation to switch modes.

How to get the Venom-X Weapon in the Unearthed Multiplayer Map

The new sci-fi alien weapon called the Venom-X gun, was first introduced on the Nightfall Exctinction Map for Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC #1. But in DLC #2 it can now also be unlocked in regular multiplayer (outside the Mayday Extinction Map)!

Location: The Venom-X can be found in the Unearthed multiplayer map. Shoot the 3 pyramid-shaped tiny structures that are holding the cable (see them on top of the yellow crane) in the middle of the map. One shot with a grenade launcher should be able to destroy all 3. After that the box the crane was holding suspended in mid-air will fall down to the ground. Go to where it falls on hop into the box to find the Venom X gun lying there. Stand next to one to “Press and hold X to equip the Venom-X” on Xbox (which will be holding the Square button on PlayStation controllers). It’ll be available for only 1 player once for the entire duration of the multiplayer match. And when you’re using the Venom-X you can carry 3 weapons at once.

How to get the Venom-FX Weapon in the Mayday Extinction Map

The Venom-X alien gun returns in the new Extinction Map titled “Mayday”. But did you know it can be upgraded to the new Venom FX Fire Gun!?

Location: You can find the Venom schematic on the red workbench in the cargo bay area of Mayday. Next, proceed to search through toolboxes in that same area to find the 3 required crafting items (parts of the plan will always appear because you’re holding said schematic). Then press on the start menu, and press the X button on Xbox / Square button on PlayStation to craft the item.
After the Venom-FX has been built, make sure to look around the area for its Incendiary Ammo.

How to get the Venom-SX Weapon in the Mayday Extinction Map

The Venom-X alien gun returns in the new Extinction Map titled “Mayday”. But did you know it can be upgraded to the new Venom SX Amethyst Seeder Turret Gun!?

Location: You can find the Venom schematic on the red workbench in the cargo bay area of Mayday. Next, proceed to search through toolboxes in that same area to find the 4 required crafting items (the same 3 parts of the plan as with the FX gun, which will always appear because you’re holding said schematic) plus 1 extra crafting item called the Amethyst. Then press on the start menu, and press the X button on Xbox / Square button on PlayStation to craft the item.

How to get the Venom-LX Weapon in the Mayday Extinction Map

There’s a 4th Venom-X weapon on the Mayday map too. It’s called the Venom-LX.

How to get the Pipe Bombs in the Mayday Extinction Map

Where’s the Pipe Bomb schematic located? It’s off to the right and up the stairs on the Mayday map’s first area, next to the Sticky Flare schematic. Then search through the toolboxes there until you’ve found the 3 required crafting items (TNT, etc.). Now you can once again go to the start menu to build it and you’ll receive 5 Pipe Bombs.

How to get the extra Sticky Flare in the Mayday Extinction Map

Where’s the Sticky Flare schematic located? It’s off to the right and up the stairs on the Mayday map’s first area, next to the Pipe Bomb schematic. Then search through the toolboxes there until you’ve found the 3 required crafting items (TNT, Fuse & Resin). Now you can once again go to the start menu to craft it and you’ll get the ability to throw two Sticky Flares, this extra Sticky Flare will be invaluable in the later difficult rounds.

How to get the Hypno Trap in the Mayday Extinction Map

This video guide shows where you can pick up the Hypno Trap schematic, and then get the Cell Battery, Biolum & Pressure Plate crafting items, to altogether make a hypno trap.
Since you cannot use a hypno knife on a Rhino, get ready to deploy said hypno trap right in front of a big Rhino as it walks towards the drill. Alternatively you can get your teammates together behind a deployed hypno trap to lure the Rhino in that way and turn it to fight on your side. A powerful friend to have!

How to get the Tesla Trap in the Mayday Extinction Map

The Tesla Trap will come in handy because it functions as an electric trap. Once you build the Tesla Trap you can carry it anywhere.
