Favorite Titanfall weapons from the Xbox Team:

Pilot Weapons

Primary Weapons

  • C.A.R. SMG — The C.A.R. (Combat Advanced Round) submachine gun is designed to fire a more powerful round that provides greater damage and accuracy at range, at the cost of fire rate and capacity.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 34.
  • EVA-8 Shotgun — The EVA-8 is a semi-automatic shotgun, originally designed for extra-vehicular activity, both in conventional and in exo-atmospheric conditions. It is an excellent choice for close-quarters combat, but its effectiveness drops considerably beyond close range.
  • G2A4 Rifle — In spite of recent advances in weapons technology, the older G2A4 semi-automatic rifle remains a favorite of special forces units due to its high damage and extremely precise fire – a testament to its high level of craftsmanship.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 18.
  • Hemlok BF-R — The factory issue Hemlok fires a three-round burst. While this can be a liability at short range, this tradeoff allowed the engineers at TW Ordnance to deliver a weapon with a good balance of long-range accuracy, damage, and fire rate.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 29.
  • Kraber-AP Sniper — Heavy bolt-action sniper rifle.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 44.
  • Longbow-DMR Sniper — The Longbow-DMR is a semi-automatic sniper rifle. Its hyper-velocity round completely eliminates the need to lead targets, and allows the shooter to fire multiple shots quickly in succession.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 9.
  • R-101C Carbine — The R-101C is a fully automatic, compact assault weapon commonly used throughout the Frontier. It boasts a high rate of fire, good accuracy at range, and relatively low recoil.
  • R-97 Compact SMG — The R-97 is a compact submachine gun that excels at close-quarters combat, due to its extremely high rate of fire. Although the minimal recoil makes it easy to keep on target, its small caliber rounds are less effective against distant targets.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 6.
  • Smart Pistol MK5 — Semi-automatic handgun with a lock-on capability. The Smart Pistol scans for hostile targets within a short range, locking onto them automatically. Any rounds fired will then maneuver to hit the locked targets. Aiming with the iron sights allows the operator to use the pistol in manual targeting mode.
  • Spitfire LMG — The Spitfire Light Machine Gun recoils heavily when first fired, but quickly settles into a tight firing pattern. The manufacturer strongly recommends sustained saturating fire, instead of short controlled bursts.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 39.

This video guide shows a breakdown of the primary weapons in Titanfall:

Secondary Weapons

Sidearm Weapons:

  • B3 Wingman — The B3 Wingman is an extremely powerful 8-bullet revolver with very high accuracy out to long ranges. Precision aim is required to mitigate the disadvantages of its very low fire rate.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 27.
  • Hammond P2011 — The Hammond P2011 is a precision semi-automatic handgun with good accuracy and damage at range. Its integrated match trigger allows it to be fired very rapidly, which is useful in close quarters.
  • RE-45 Autopistol — The RE-45 is a fully automatic .45 caliber pistol, sacrificing damage and accuracy at longer distances for improved effectiveness at close range.

Anti-Titan Weapons:

  • Archer Heavy Rocket — The Archer fires a powerful homing rocket. It must be locked onto a target before it can be fired. When aimed, a targeting window flips out, allowing target acquisition. Hold this window over the target continuously until a lock is achieved, then fire.
  • Charge Rifle — Anti-Titan energy-directed rifle.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 33.
  • Mag Launcher — The Mag Launcher fires magnetic grenades. When fired, if they pass close enough to enemy Titans, the grenades will veer towards the hostile Titans and detonate on impact.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 22.
  • Sidewinder — The Sidewinder is a rapid-fire micro-missile launcher. It is effective against large targets, but lacks precision due to its large spread. The micro-missiles it fires do not yield a large area effect on detonation, due to their shaped-charge design.

Pilot Ordnance

  • Arc Grenade — Throwable explosive that causes a Pilot’s heads-up display to become scrambled and disables Titan shields.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 7.
  • Arc Mine — The Arc Mine is a proximity detonated charge that sticks to any surface. In addition to nominal explosive damage, it causes massive interference to nearby Titan and Pilot vision systems on detonation. It basically causes the same effects as an Arc Grenade.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 31.
  • Data Knife — A knife that is used to hack technology, such as a Spectre to become friendly.
  • Frag Grenade — The Frag Grenade is an all-purpose anti-personnel weapon, a throwable explosive with a standard blast radius, useful for clearing tight spaces and areas that are out of direct line-of-sight. Its delayed fuse makes it versatile in many combat situations.
  • Satchel Charge — Satchel Charges can be thrown onto any surface to stick to it and can be manually detonated at any time, causing massive explosive damage to anything nearby.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 17.

Pilot Tactical Abilities

  • Active Radar Pulse — Temporarily allows vision of enemies through walls.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 19.
  • Cloak — Temporarily grants invisibility to a Pilot that is effect against a Titan’s view, but not to the naked eye.
  • Stim — Temporarily boosts speed and health regeneration for a short time.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 8.

Titan Weapons

Main Weapons

  • 40mm Cannon — The factory issue 40mm Cannon is a semi-automatic weapon that fires a high-explosive round with good accuracy. During the Titan Wars, a resourceful Pilot and his support unit tore a 40mm cannon from a stranded mobile infantry carrier, and attached it to his Atlas, replacing his defunct primary weapon. The opposing force, expecting an unarmed Titan to surrender the next day, was wiped out in a battle that barely lasted two minutes, and thus a new Titan weapon was born.
  • Arc Cannon — The factory issue Arc Cannon fires a bolt of lightning that propagates across multiple targets, even when those targets are situated around corners or lined up into buildings. Because of this, Pilots in the presence of an enemy with an Arc Cannon are advised to minimize line of sight to other potential targets in the area, including other Titans. Experienced Pilots are often able to pick off targets in mid-flight, including incoming missiles.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 21.
  • Plasma Railgun — The Plasma Railgun fires a traveling charged pulse with high accuracy out to long range. When zoomed, the weapon’s power is charged up through several stages until reaching full power. The charge can be held indefinitely before being fired.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 16.
  • Quad Rocket — The factory issue Quad Rocket launcher fires four rockets at once in its primary firing mode. In alternate fire mode, it fires slow moving swirls of rockets that are effective at temporarily denying territory to the enemy. The swirling alternate fire mode can also be used to strike at the rooftops of nearby buildings, where Pilots often take refuge in combat.
  • Triple Threat — The Triple Threat is a grenade launcher that fires three grenades at once. It excels at clearing interiors, and its grenades explode on armored contact, making it effective at close range against other Titans. The secondary vertical fire mode allows for longer distance projection as well as maximum accuracy in narrow places.
How To Unlock: Reach Level 28.
  • XO-16 Chaingun — The XO-16 Chaingun is a fully-automatic ballistic weapon that fires 1.6 inch slugs with high precision out to considerable range. The manufacturer recommends that this weapon be used against Titans at extended range, so that the maximum number of rounds can be placed on target, picking apart enemies before they have a chance to close the distance, or destabilizing their aim so that they cannot effectively return fire from range.
