How To Unlock Extra Raritanium

Ratchet & Clank: Before the Nexus is the iOS (and possibly Android) mobile app that syncs up with the PS3 game Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus. It was supposed to be out on November 12 when the game launched, but so far is still listed as “upcoming”, so keep an eye on the App Store and search for it there.

Here’s how to collect Raritanium in the mobile game for the console version:

Ratchet & Clank: Before the Nexus is an endless runner, a first for the Ratchet & Clank series. You can hop between grindrails while avoiding hazards to collect Bolts which can be used to upgrade your weapons and armor. Better yet, you can score Raritanium in “Before the Nexus” which you can sync with your PlayStation Network account and use to upgrade your weapons in the “Into the Nexus” PS3 game!

Unlockable DLC Armors

These are the Armors you can unlock through downloadable content:

• Ratchet’s Volcanox Armor: Available as a pre-order bonus in America at participating retailers, like GameStop, is inspired by Gadgetron’s popular Infernox Armor. This lightweight, durable suit is for the fashion-conscious adventurer. Besides granting a 5% damage-reduction, it also all but guarantees “Best-Dressed” awards at high-school reunions.

• Ratchet’s Pyronex Armor: Available as a pre-order bonus in Europe at participating retailers, like Amazon, is a super lightweight armour to crush space villains in style.

PS: As an added bonus, inside all physical Blu-ray copies of Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus Sony will be including a voucher code good for a download of Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty, the first downloadable game from the Future saga.
