Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto says that the secret memos you can collect, when put together, are a code.

To quote: “Did you know that once you’ve collected ten of these Secret Memos, the numbers contained in them will combine to form a special code? I’ll be in touch again to explain how to use the code, so be sure to make a note of it once you have it!”

This guide will show you where to find all 10 secret memos in the Garden of Hope, Distant Tundra, Tropical Wilds, Twilight River, and Formidable Oak:

By finding these 10 you’ll unlock 5 reward videos. These include In the Wilds, In the Garden, In the Tundra, At the River, At the Oak.

Pikmin 3 Gameplay Style Tips

In Pikmin 3’s Wii U Developer Direct interview, the game’s creator Shigeru Miyamoto gives lots of gameplay style tips to help you play better. Let’s take a look, shall we? 🙂

For example, to become a better player in Story Mode he recommends you regularly play the Mission Mode to improve your efficiency at completing various tasks in a level and collecting all the fruit faster. This helps you become a pro at Story Mode because both modes are similar, yet Mission Mode levels will have to be done within 10 minutes making you better at planning, which will improve your total score per level.

In this next demonstration video, Nintendo Treehouse tester Corey Olcsvary gives a 14-minute tutorial about Pikmin 3’s Mission Mode and Bingo Battle Mode.

How To Get The Best Ending

The best ending for Pikmin 3 can be unlocked after you find all of the fruit (100%). “What’s different?” you may ask. Well, the narrator’s speech is completely different and a minute longer.

Overview of all the different endings:
– Bad Ending: You get this when you finish the game when not finding enough fruit by a long-shot.
– Normal/Good Ending: You get this when you finish the game with most (but not all) of the fruits.
– Best Ending: You get this when you finish the game with all of the fruit (100%).

Unlockable DLC

In the future there will be new campaign story missions and multiplayer maps made available via DLC (Downloadable Content) for Pikmin 3.

In an interview between Miyamoto, Iwata & Itoi, the game’s creator Mr. Miyamoto said that additional content is on the way (not surprising seeing how the story ends).

To quote him: “So, using the internet [the team] thinks it’d like to add new missions and maps to the game little by little.”
