Animal Crossing New Leaf Fish List

Welcome to the Animal Crossing New Leaf fish list & locations guide that reveals all 72 fish you can catch with your fishing rod in Animal Crossing New Leaf on 3DS.

Tip: Donate 30 fish to enable buying the Silver Fishing Rod for 500 Bells at the Museum Shop, this makes fish bite down on your lure longer.
Then catch all 72 fish to get a Gold Fishing Rod from the Fishing Tourney, this further extends the time fish bite down on your lure.

    Sea Floor Animals and Plants
This is a list of fish and items you can get by diving while swimming. They are seen as small shadows on the water and disappear after a while if you don’t dive down. You can dive for these by borrowing a wetsuit on the island or in your own town after purchasing a wetsuit from the island shop.

Three characters swimming one of which took a dive and found a Starfish
