151 Pokemon

Here’s the first of its kind artwork gallery of the original 151 Pokemon for a charity event called “Rare Candy: A Pokemon Gallery & Charity Auction”. 151 artists got creative with these Pokemon with amazing result! Watch ’em all by browsing through the giant gallery below! 😀

The artist impressions are modeled after the first generation Pokemon seen in the Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow RPG games on the Nintendo GameBoy (from 1998), later re-released as enhanced remakes on the Nintendo DS as Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen (from 2004).

Here’s the Pokemon image gallery of all 151 pieces of art. It’s epic!

The artworks are showing to the public from April 29th to May 17th at the 225 West Santa Clara Umpqua Bank in San Jose, America. The pieces will be auctioned off and all proceeds will go to non-profit organization Canines for Disabled Kids. You can bid online on each artwork until Wednesday, May 15th 2013. If you’re seeing this after that date, you may try to contact the artist of your favorite piece of art to make one for you, that’s why we’ve included the artists name under each image.

My favorite part of this Pokemon project is that they made sure “The artists had the freedom to interpret their Pokemon in any way they wished.” Which resulted in some very unique and beautiful pieces of art.
