Angry Birds Toons Cartoon Series Announced

Rovio Mobile has announced a brand new Angry Birds Toons cartoon series that will premiere online on March 16 & 17!

Description: “Introducing Angry Birds Toons, a brand new animated series premiering on the weekend of March 16th and 17th!

What makes Bomb Bird so angry? Why is the King Pig the King Pig? And are those mischievous piggies ever going to get hold of the eggs?”

Starting on the weekend of March 16th and 17th, join the Angry Birds and Pigs every week for a brand new episode featuring the latest adventures of the birds and the pigs!

Although the announcement wasn’t clear, I think the show will both appear on Angrybirds.com and Rovio Mobile’s Youtube channel.

Greedy is the wrong word then, but you have to admit the angry birds series is being milked beyond dry.

Oh yeah, there’s no denying Rovio are milking Angry Birds for all it’s worth. But instead of free online videos, they could’ve easily made a deal with Cartoon Network to air them on TV and then only sell them on DVD/Blu-ray, if you know what I mean.

No Rovio’s privately owned, making them wholly independent. Activision only published Angry Birds Trilogy for them on PS3, Xbox 360 & 3DS. Since that sold 1 million copies, they are also releasing it on Wii & Wii U this year.
