Pokemon X and Y Release Date

Nintendo has announced the Pokemon X and Y release date exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS handheld is October 2013 worldwide! This means that in the same month every country in the world gets the game translated into their language!

The translation process would with past Pokemon games take months to a year to complete, but Pokemon X and Y are the first Pokemon games where Nintendo pooled resources to speed up the allocation process. That’s why we’re now getting the game at almost the same time everywhere.

Best release date estimates: I would still expect Pokemon X and Y to be released in Japan in the first week of the month on October 3rd, 2013; whereas America, Canada, Europe, Australasia will likely get the game near the end of October.

“Now, Pokemon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pokemon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately.” -The Pokemon Company boss

Here’s what Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of The Pokemon Company, had to say about Pokemon X and Y.

To quote: “The worldwide launch of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y this October allows players to begin their adventures at the same time. Now, Pokemon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pokemon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately.”
