The Pokemon Company and Nintendo announced today that the next / 6th generation of Pokemon RPG video games, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, will launch worldwide in October 2013 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS handheld. New Pokemon, a new storyline set in a spectacular 3D world, and dynamic battles are some of the announced features in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.

“The worldwide launch of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y this October allows players to begin their adventures at the same time,” said Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of The Pokemon Company. “Now, Pokemon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pokemon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately.”

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be the blueprint for an exciting array of new animation, Pokemon TCG, and toys debuting around the world in 2013.
