Far Cry 3 Rare Animals

Rare animals can be found during “Path of the Hunter” Quests. To play these Quests you need to liberate Outposts first. The spawn area of the animals will be shown during the Quests. You can see a red “Rare” stamp on the hunter posters if the quest features rare animals (example image shown at the top of this page).

For each Quest to be a success, these rare animals have to be hunted with a certain weapon; while usually a bow with normal arrows the missions do have different weapon requirements. – Don’t forget to skin the rare animals to get special items; For example skinning the Maneating Shark will allow you to craft the Extended Arrow Quiver.

Golden Tiger Location Guide

The Path of the Hunter Quest #1 can be started at the coordinates X: 428.9, Y: 694.3 which you can see at the right corner of the world map.

Titled “Bow Hunt: Golden Tiger” you have to hunt the rare Golden Tiger with a bow using normal arrows.

Black Panther Location Guide

This video guide shows you the location of the Path of the Hunter Quest #2 animal, the rare Black Panther.

You have to hunt the rare Black Panther with a bow using normal arrows.

Blood Komodo Location Guide
