    Far Cry 3 Achievements Guide

    1. Free Fall (5G) — Freefall more than 100m and live (Single Player only).

    Location: Go to the coordinates X: 442.4, Y: 651.1.
In the top right corner of your map the coordinates are shown. There is a Glider on a high mountain. It’s almost on the top so you will need to climb your way up. After reaching the yellow Glider you need to press Square (PS3) / X (Xbox 360) to use it. Do not not steer while you are in the air! Keep gliding until you reach the ocean. Once you are over the ocean press Square (PS3) / X (Xbox 360) to exit the Glider. You will then fall into the water and unlock the trophy / achievement.
How to respawn the glider if it’s missing: Fast travel to? another area and return, then the glider will respawn.

    2. Inked Up (5G) — Earn 5 skill tattoos.

    3. Fully Inked (30G) — Earn every tattoo by learning all the skills.

    4. Money to Burn (15G) — Spend $5000 at the shop.

    5. Aftermarket Junkie (20G) — Buy all attachments and paint jobs for one weapon.

    6. Rebel With a Cause (10G) — Liberate 3 outposts.

    7. Island Liberator (40G) — Liberate all outposts.

    8. Unheard (20G) — Liberate an outpost without triggering an alarm.

Important: Missable trophy / achievement. Can only be done before liberating all outposts. Otherwise, start new game.
There are a total of 34 Outposts. You can liberate any of these outposts without triggering an alarm. Search for the alarm switch in an Outpost and disable it by pressing Square (PS3) / X (Xbox 360). Now you just need to kill the remaining enemies. It does not matter if the enemies see you or not. They are just not allowed to ring the alarm. If you hear the loud alarm then kill yourself and you should respawn somewhere near the Outpost and can try it again.

    9. Full Bars (20G) — Activate 9 radio towers.

    10. Archeology 101 (20G) — Gather a total of 60 relics.

    11. Dead Letters (20G) — Gather all “Letters of the Lost”.

    12. Memory to Spare (20G) — Gather all the memory cards.

    13. Jungle Journal (20G) — Unlock 50 entries in the Survivor Guide.

    14. Bagged and Tagged (10G) — Complete a Path of the Hunter quest.

    15. Road Trip (10G) — Complete a Supply Drop quest.

    16. In Cold Blood (10G) — Complete a WANTED Dead quest.

    17. Let the Trials Begin (10G) — Beat any Trial of the Rakyat score.

    18. Poker Bully (20G) — Win $1500 playing poker.

    19. Hunter Hunted (10G) — Lure and kill a predator.

Wrestle a crocodile? We got THIS! :D
Common predators in Far Cry 3 are Crocodiles, Sharks, Tigers, Leopards, Komodos etc. Most animals are shown on your map when you zoom in. Look for the symbol of one of these animals and go to that area. Keep running around until you are attacked by a predator and kill it. Crocodiles are not displayed on the map, but they can be found in most rivers. You can either shoot the animal while it’s chasing you or stab it while it’s latched onto you.

    20. Poacher (20G) — Hunt and skin a rare animal.

Rare animals can be found during “Path of the Hunter” quests. To play these quests you need to liberate Outposts. The spawn area of the animals will be shown during the quests. You can see a red “Rare” stamp on the hunter posters if the quest features rare animals.
One of these quests can be started at the coordinates X: 428.9, Y: 694.3 (see to right corner of the world map).

    21. Artsy Craftsy (10G) — Craft 5 upgrades for your equipment.

    22. Needle Exchange (15G) — Craft 25 syringes.

    23. The Good Stuff (15G) — Craft a special syringe.

First of all you need to collect a total of 30 relics. Maps for all relic locations are available at the in-game shops. After 30 relics have been found you will unlock a recipe for a special syringe that is called “Untouchable”. It allows you to become invulnerable for a few seconds. Crafting it requires 2 white leaves, 5 blue leaves and 5 green leaves. These leaves can be found anywhere in the wilderness, but here are some of their fixed locations (see top right corner of map for coordinates):
    White Leaf (X: 449.1, Y: 738.9)
    Blue Leaf (X: 504.4, Y: 727.1)
    Green Leaf (X: 430.2, Y: 748.9)

    24. Say Hi to the Internet (10G) — Find the lost Hollywood star.

Location: The lost Hollywood star can be found at the coordinates X: 619.7, Y: 559.4 (see top right corner of the world map).
This is at the beach of one of the northern islands. You can go there shortly after the game starts. Stay at the beach and look for two dead people that are hanging on a tree. There is a man buried in the sand and you can only see his head. Go to the buried man and press Square (PS3) / X (Xbox 360).

    25. Heartless Pyro (10G) — Kill 50 enemies with the flamethrower (Single Player only).

    26. Love the Boom (10G) — Kill 4 enemies simultaneously with one explosion (Single Player only).

Get an explosive weapon from a weapon locker or general store. The RPG-7 rocket launcher works best. You can either buy it or activate radio towers to get it for free. Now go to the Welshore Wrecker’s House Outpost (coordinates X: 437.9, Y: 795.0) and make some noise until the enemies activate the alarm. Wait for the reinforcement Jeeps to arrive, but keep at least one Outpost guard alive. In the second Jeep (the one without the turret) are usually 4 soldiers. Shoot this vehicle with your rocket launcher before the soldiers get out. Alternatively you can also plant some C4 and group up some enemies, then blow it up. If it doesn’t work on your first try simply get yourself killed and you should respawn somewhere around the Outpost and can try it again. Just don’t kill the last Outpost guard before getting the trophy / achievement.

    27. Rock Always Wins (10G) — Fully distract 25 enemies with rocks (Single Player only).

    28. Island Paparazzi (15G) — Tag 25 enemies using the camera (Single Player only).

    29. Fearless or Stupid (15G) — Dive more than 60m (Single Player only).

Search for a dark blue part of the ocean on your map (e.g. at the coordinates X: 709.1, Y: 835.6). These are the deepest parts of the ocean. You need to activate radio towers to uncover the map. After reaching such a point in the ocean you need to dive down until you hit the ground. Click the left stick to swim faster.
Tip for not dying during the diving deep underwater: Use the Exploration Syringe called “Deep Dive”, which you will unlock the required recipe of during one of the main story missions. It’s not required for the trophy / achievement, though.

    30. Never Saw it Coming (20G) — Kill an enemy with a takedown from above from a glider, zipline or parachute (Single Player only).

Note: If you’ve completed the story then start a new game and do it in the “Medusa’s Call” mission.
First of all you will have to buy the “Death from Above” skill in the Heron skill tree. This will allow you to perform a stealth takedown when jumping on enemies. Jumping down while using a zipline is the easiest way. The glider or parachute methods are rather tricky and unpredictable. Ziplines can be found during many main story missions, but are rarely found near enemies in the open world. The earliest chance to get this during the story is in the 6th mission “The Medusa’s Call”. No matter where you do it, the strategy is always the same: throw some stones to lure nearby guards under the zipline. Use the zipline when the guards are in place and detach when you are above them. The kill will then be performed automatically, no additional buttons need to be pressed.

    31. Improper Use (5G) — Kill an enemy with the Repair Tool (Single Player only).

First of all you will need to get the Repair Tool from a weapon locker or general store. You can either buy it or activate radio towers to get it for free. At the general store it can be found in the section for “Special” objects. Once you have the Repair tool equipped, search for some enemies near an Outpost or play one of the side- or main missions. Get close to an enemy and burn him for 2-3 seconds with the Repair Tool from close range.

    32. Toxophilite (10G) — Kill a target from 70m or more with the bow (Single Player only).

First of all you will need to get the Recurve Bow from a weapon locker or general store. You can either buy it or activate radio towers to get it for free. Also buy and equip the Markman Sight. It’s a very useful attachment for long range shots. Now search for some enemies and put a marker on their location on the world map. Walk away until the marker shows a distance of 70+ meters and take the shot while the enemy is standing still. The Welshore Wrecker’s House Outpost (coordinates X: 437.9, Y: 795.0) is near the starting area of the game and one of the best locations to get this done early.

I haven’t been able to get the achievement where you fully distract 25 enemies with a rock and I don’t know why. I have beaten the game and use the rock regularly to distract enemies but still haven’t got it even after I started to do it intentionally.
