Episode 2: A Small Mystery

Mean Street North

Mickey and Oswald make their way to Mean Street North where they can find the projector to Bog Easy.

In this video guide the road from Mean Street North to Bog Easy is shown.

Bog Easy

Over at Bog Easy, someone has hacked the Mad Doctor’s Beetleworx robots. It’s up to Mickey and Oswald to stop them.

Blot Alley

Mickey and Oswald try and sneak through Blot Alley to avoid all the baddies in the area at the request of Ian the Ghost.

The Dioramas

Mickey and Oswald work together to repair the damaged dioramas set up to honor Mickey’s greatest battles against The Blot.

Fort Wasteland

Mickey and Oswald head into Fort Wasteland to try and get rid of all the nasty Spatters now living within.

Gus: “How do you suppose Prescott came and went with all those Spatters around?”
Oswald: “Don’t worry? about it!” 😆

The Floatyard

Mickey and Oswald follow Gremlin Prescott to the Floatyard where they deal with obstacles such as Beetleworx and Eyeball security.

Tip: Don’t thin out enemies, but instead try to befriend them.

Prescott’s Mechanical Creation Boss Fight

Mickey and Oswald take the projector to Gremlin Prescott’s Arena where he lies in wait. After chatting the trio up, Prescott boards his “greatest creation” a giant, cannonball-shooting mechanical float.

Boss fight tips: When the boss fight starts you should immediately take out the thinner refill nozzles by thinning the wires leading to all 3 nozzles. This way you don’t have to worry about paint thinner grenades being launched at you later on in the fight.

At the beginning of the boss fight, you’ll first have to take on Prescott’s Cannon.
To do this you must fill up one of his tanks with either paint or thinner entirely 3 times. Please note that when the tank gets filled up, the Cannon will empty it each of the 3 times, which is the perfect chance for Oswald to reprogram the console under the Cannon to damage it each time!

Avoid the cannonball attacks by either be moving continually so it cannot hit you, or by using your Spin Attack to deflect the cannonball back to the cannon! This last method, the Spin Attack, is best done 3 times in a row so the Cannon gets stunned… This also makes it much easier for you to fill up the tanks at the back of the cannon without taking fire! Which would otherwise happen to Mickey, even if Oswald is distracting it.
A second method to make filling up the tank easier is use Watch Sketch to slow down time, allowing you to get behind the Cannon before it turns to you, leaving you with more time to fill up the tanks.

At the second part of the boss fight, you’ll have to take on Prescott’s Mech.
There’s not much health and thinner in this area, so be bold and attack the Mech fiercely! Use thinner to strip away the armor on its face. Use Spin Attacks to bat the cannonballs back at his face 3 times, doing more damage. If it tries to suck you in with its fan, run like crazy in the opposite direction to survive.

The result of all the things you have to do next is that the big spikey walls on the sides of the Mech will close in on it to trap it and end the battle.

Your most important goal here is to guide the junk the Mech throws at you into the 6 metal plates on the ground, which each have to be hit 3 times,
To get this done just stand on the metal plates until right before the junk hits you, and then jump away so the junk only hits the plate you were standing on. You’ll have a few seconds, after the junk is launched, to do this each time.

Basically, half the metal plates (once hit/opened) reveal a see-through gear below them that you have to paint to restore. Doing this will repair the controls of the big spikey walls on the Mech’s sides. Then have Oswald power up each gear with the console attached to it to trap the Mech!

In the cutscene after the boss fight it looks like Prescott was as much a victim in this as anyone else, as he was seemingly hypnotized! But by whom? …
