Totally agree, endings like that are hugely unsatisfying IMO. It would be great if you’re right, but I won’t hold my breath. Something like that would be an interesting thing for the story though, but since Ubisoft wanted to put Desmond’s story to bed so bad I don’t see it happening.

I agree as well. I just finished the game yesterday and was pissed the hell off when I saw him collapse on the floor. After investing all the hours of game play over all the games to have a weak as ending was beyond EPIC FAIL. Honestly the ending just raised even more questions then before.

No. It need not be like that.

After the game ends and after the long f***ing 15 minutes credits (I bet that credit was prepared by Charles Lee), you have got the prologue missions remaining. There, you can hear the voice of Desmond, suggesting that he still lives. May be inside the Animus like Subject 16 did? And there’s a new Assassin who will join forces with he Templars, and help the world out of Juno’s Reign?

By the way, try the Witcher series for some awesome story. You sure will get engrossed into it like you never did in any game before.
