Demon Tribe Game Announced by Sega

Sega’s Project Omega has quietly been announced as a renamed Demon Tribe video game. Although not much was said at the Tokyo Game Show 2012, the official website unintentionally revealed it’ll appear on Nintendo Wii U, and Sony’s PlayStation Vita & PSP. Rumor has it’s a browser game as well, it could appear on every platform including mobile phones, which would explain why Sega Apps announced the title.

The Sega Apps Booth section Sega’s Tokyo Game Show 2012 Presentation Stream revealed it’s a top-down action game, where you can transform into demons and fight other demons “until the bitter end.” – The sexy teaser image (shown above) strongly suggests the main character will be a female demon hunter who’s tattoo will allow her to shape-shift into various demons. Maybe Pokemon-like collecting is involved?

This is the new project from the team that ported the recently released HD version of the Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio to Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and soon iOS & Android mobile devices.

While Sega hasn’t yet confirmed platforms or any info beyond these very vague teasers, the company did say the game will be released worldwide this Winter. Which could either be a Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 release.
