Here’s the list of this week’s video game releases. The Summer drought is gone! Popular video games released this week are: Darksiders II, Sleeping Dogs, The Last Story, and at the end of the week New Super Mario Bros. 2.

New on the downloadable games front is:

• On the PlayStation Store Papo & Yo, CSI: Fatal Conspiracy (PS3), Shinobi (PS2 Classic) become available [updates Tuesday].
• While on Xbox Live Marketplace there’s Dust: An Elysian Tail (XBLA), alongside Quantum Cunumdrum: The Desmond Debacle, Rocksmith: Bass Expansion (DLC) being released [updates Wednesday].
• The Wii Shop, DSiWare & 3DS eShop‘s games are unknown, and Europe’s getting the Game Boy classic Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon and the first downloadable retail games New Super Mario Bros. 2, Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!, New Art Academy, and new Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy DLC (3DS), The Lost Town — The Jungle, Escape The Virus: Shoot ’Em Up! (DSi) [updates Thursday].
• On Steam there’s Sleeping Dogs, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, Tower Wars, Galactic Civilizations I: Ultimate Edition.

• Cooking Mama 2-Pack (Wii)
• Cooking Mama’s Combo Pack Vol. 1 (DS)
• Cooking Mama’s Combo Pack Vol. 2 (DS)
• Darksiders II (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
• Legends of Pegasus (PC)
• New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS) — European/Australian release on Friday and American/Canadian release on Sunday!
• Sleeping Dogs (Xbox 360, PS3)
• Surface: Mystery of Another World Collector’s Edition (PC)
• The Last Story (Wii)
• Witches’ Legacy: The Charleston Curse Collector’s Edition (PC)
