Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC Heavy

Ubisoft sent game store chain GameStop a letter announcing Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC. It reveals a lot of episodic downloadable content is on the way for Assassin’s Creed 3 after launch, by a new development team created just to make DLC that adds to the action-adventure when it comes to Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 on October 30th, 2012. The PC & Wii U dates aren’t confirmed yet.

The Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC letter reads:

“Hi Team GameStop!

First things’s first – a BIG thank you for helping us ASSASSINATE our announcement pre-order goals! We couldn’t have done it without your hard work. As a token of our appreciation, inside is an exclusive necklace from the Assassin’s Creed team in recognition for all you do!

What’s next? We are currently in the process of creating a complementary development team that will begin working on post-launch episodic content to continue the Game of the Year experience that Assassin’s Creed 3 will undoubtedly deliver. With a dedicated team specifically to make this content we plan to set the bar for quality DLC in our industry.

We know you’re familiar with the ‘Season Pass’ concept and, beginning shortly, we’ll start to take pre-orders of our very own. We’d love your continued assistance in informing pre-order customers that a better value is available for those who pre-order Assassin’s Creed with the ‘Season Pass’.

Once again, thank you for everything and we’ll be in touch soon.

– Assassin’s Creed Team” Via Kotaku.

Hopefully a full announcement of this ‘Season Pass’ option will clarify if this is about multiplayer or single player campaign DLC (or both). I do always enjoy the extra story DLC in the months after I’ve finished the main game.

What kind of Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC would you like to play?
