“Nerdy News” is a mini-news show geared towards gamers, technosexuals, and all other geeky peeps.

In this seventy-seventh episode of Nerdy News, I’ll be reporting on:

Final Fantasy Versus 13 is alive!
Final Fantasy 25th anniversary celebration will bring more FFXIII announcements.
New details for the custom Halo 4 Xbox 360 Bundle.
Online streaming game service OnLive will be available on the Ouya console.

I’m not convinced the Ouya Android console will ever be made. There, I said it.

Agreed. Just because it’s on Kickstarter doesn’t guarantee the money will not be wasted on development causing them to declare producing the actual Ouya failed. Then there are no refunds because they did try and make the dream people bought into come true. That’s not to say having a console the size of a Rubik’s Cube doesn’t sound awesome, but… well… let’s just say I hope for those spending money on it that it’s not the scam many suspect it is.

Having the Onlive people make an app for Ouya may sound great but when was the last time Onlive added games that weren’t a year old? The whole point of streaming those games should be to have the latest games first! That I’d be interested in, but Onlive is still promoting Homefront as a reason to subscribe… that’s a game from March 2011 and subscribers have been complaining on forums it’s been half a year since a notable game came out.
