The Walking Dead Game Episode 6-10: Season 2 Confirmed

After the first 5 Episodes in Season 1, we’re getting The Walking Dead Game Episode 6-10 as part of Season 2 in 2013! That’s right, the downloadable episodic game series based on the comic books will be back for more zombie-induced terror!

*This new video comes from the after-credits cutscene at the end of Season 1’s The Walking Dead Game Episode 5 Walkthrough titled “No Time Left”.

Steve Allison, senior vice president of marketing at Telltale Games, said:

“We believe there is no better company than Telltale to bring complex narrative IP to interactive entertainment. Our first episodic game series based on The Walking Dead has sold nearly 1.7 million episodes to consumers in just our first 8 weeks with no signs of slowing down. We have three more episodes to go with Episode 3 targeted for August.

Following the digital release of our fifth episode we will also be coming to North American retail shortly thereafter and this will not be the last The Walking Dead game series that we do.

Future release schedule for The Walking Dead Game Episodes:

  • Episode 3 is expected to be coming to PC & consoles in mid-August.
  • Whereas Episode 1 is finally coming to iOS mobile devices on July 26th, and Episode 2 will follow “soon” too.
  • After the first 5 downloadable episodes have been released, they’ll be packaged into a Season 1 package for U.S. retail, reports Verge.
  • Season 2 of The Walking Dead Game is coming in 2013.

January 2013 Update: Telltale Games’ CEO & Co-founder Dan Connors has given the first details about Season 2 of The Walking Dead: The Game.

To quote: “Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two. This all remains to be seen but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over. — Coming from LucasArts we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game. We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like Half Life Stories or Halo Stories.”
