New Super Mario Bros 2 Fire Fire Fire girl

On Japanese TV this funny New Super Mario Bros. 2 commercial started airing. What I like about the style of Nintendo’s commercials in Japan is that they (like in Europe) often show people playing the game and getting totally engrossed by the gameplay.

We’ve dubbed the woman playing, the “Coin Coin Coin” girl!

Similarly the original New Super Mario Bros. on DS had a commercial with the “Fire Fire Fire” girl!

New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released on 3DS & 3DS XL in Japan first on July 28th, then in Europe on August 17th, in Australia on August 18th, and America and the rest of the world on August 19th, 2012.

As much as I waited for this game…I don’t really know what to say regarding the idea that the main goal in this game is to collect 1 million coins…haven’t I done that in like…all the other mario games combined?

I’m conflicted like you. I’m sure it’ll be fun, and apparently when you get to 1 million coins something special happens, Nintendo said. But this feels like it should have been called “Wario Land 3D”! He’s the greedy coin collector, not Mario…
