Disney Wreck-It Ralph Movie Stars Video Game Icons

Disney has released the first trailer for their upcoming “Wreck-It Ralph” CGI movie that stars many retro video game icons!

Wreck-It Ralph stars John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Sarah Silverman. The story tells of Ralph — who is the bad-guy character in a classic 8-bit arcade game Fix-It Felix — who longs to be a hero and brings trouble to his entire arcade after sneaking into a new first-person shooter game and unleashing a deadly enemy.

There’s also a Wreck-It Ralph video game coming to the Nintendo Wii, 3DS & DS at the same time of the movie’s November 2nd, 2012 release. So it’s a game based on a movie based on games, it all makes sense when you think about it!

The following game companies are involved with both the movie and the game, by proving their classic game characters from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s! They are…

• Nintendo: Super Mario Bros.’s Bowser.
• Sega: Sonic the Hedgehog’s Dr. Robotnik, and Altered Beast’s Neff, and The House of the Dead’s Zombie.
• Capcom: Street Fighter II’s Zangief, Chun-Li, Cammy & M. Bison.
• Namco Bandai: Pac-Man’s Clyde the Orange Ghost.
• Gottlieb: Q*Bert’s as himself, Slick, Ugg & Coily the Snake.
• Warner Bros.: Mortal Kombat’s Kano.
