What kind of computer power do you need to run Diablo 3?

Blizzard has released the Minimum and Recommended specs for both PC & Mac that you’ll want to have in your personal computer to power one of the most epic action-RPG’s of the year.

Diablo 3 Minimum System Specifications:

OS: Windows® XP/Windows Vista®/Windows® 7 (Latest Service Packs) with DirectX® 9.0c
Processor: Intel Pentium® D 2.8 GHz or AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 4400+
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800 GT or ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro or better

Mac

OS: Mac® OS X 10.6.8 or newer | Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT or ATI Radeon™ HD 2600 or better

All Platforms

HD Space: 12 GB available HD space
Memory: 1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista® / Windows® 7 users, 2 GB for Mac® users)
Drive: DVD-ROM drive
Display: 1024×768 minimum display resolution
Internet: Broadband Internet connection. Note: Be advised that some wireless connections do not meet the minimums required to be a true Broadband Internet connecton. Wireless results may vary.

can anyone tell me do you how many gigs do you need to download after you pyrchse the game

this game is really not that system intensive. I am running it on close to max settings on my SIX year old desktop!

so pretty much anyone who has a modern to semi modern pc with even decent to good specs will most likely be able to run this game perfectly! (provided blizzards servers aren’t acting up…)

Also, something to consider is you internet speed and ping. Mine is around 1 gb/s with a 90ms ping time. So not extremely fast required, but it’s something to consider. This is because you have to always be connected to blizzards servers, which can make the game lag if your internet is slow.

Yeah, that’s the great thing about Diablo 3. Like you say, most people (PC and Mac people even) should be able to run the game.

PS: Your internet connection is 1GB/sec!?!? I thought my 50MB/sec was fast with a 13ms ping. But I imagine you meant to say 1MB/sec lol! Yeah, that sounds like the minimum for most folks.
