Nintendo has announced “Kirby 20th Anniversary Compilation” for Wii. Set for release in late 2012, Nintendo will mark the 20th anniversary of the Kirby game series with a special compilation game disc for the Wii system. No games were confirmed yet, but we’ve got a list for you to browse below.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cute-but-powerful Kirby character, Nintendo will release a special anniversary software disc for Wii later this year. The disc will contain a variety of previously released, fan-favorite Kirby games. Additional Kirby anniversary activities will be revealed at a later date.
Back in December 2012, Nintendo released a similar Wii collection for Mario games called “Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition“. Even though that included the SNES collection of Super Mario All-Stars that includes all 4 Super Mario Bros. games (1, Lost Levels, 2 & 3). It ended up selling 2.24 million copies worldwide.
Here’s a list of Kirby platformer games:
* Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy)
* Kirby’s Adventure (NES)
* Kirby’s Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)
* Kirby Super Star AKA Kirby’s Fun Pak (Super NES)
* Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (Super NES)
* Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
* Kirby & the Amazing Mirror (Game Boy Advance)
* Kirby: Canvas Curse AKA Kirby: Power Paintbrush (DS)
* Kirby: Squeak Squad AKA Kirby Mouse Attack (DS)
* Kirby’s Epic Yarn (Wii)
* Kirby Mass Attack (DS)
* Kirby’s Return to Dream Land (Wii)
My guess would be that they’ll include the NES and SNES Kirby games. But I certainly hope that they will include all console platform games!

PS: Nintendo also confirmed they’ll be releasing “3D Classics: Kirby’s Dream Land” on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
