Pandora’s Tower Walkthrough

Pandora’s Tower blends RPG elements with action-packed gameplay as you assume the role of Aeron, an Athosian soldier facing a deeply personal and emotionally charged mission. With your friend, Elena, bound to a grave fate that is causing her to mutate into a demonic abomination, you’ll feel the pressure of time and the rush of accomplishment as you take up the fight to eradicate the spreading evil that has gripped her. To add to the drama of this melancholic and unconventional adventure, it is only by consuming the remains of monsters Aeron has slain that the cruel curse binding Elena can be reversed.

The world of Pandora’s Tower features 13 gruelling environments to tackle, each one based within a tower structure, and each one home to grim monsters whose flesh takes on a macabre significance in the game’s engrossing plotline. Enemies can be attacked in two ways – with a bladed weapon offering hard-hitting results up close, or with a magical chain possessing uses that extend far beyond overcoming opponents. Aimed by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen, the Oraclos Chain can be used to latch onto elements of the environment, allowing the player to reach new heights, activate levers or pull down parts of their surroundings. The chain also acts as the ultimate restraint when tackling monsters, allowing for innovative combat techniques as you engage in fast and furious real-time battles.

Using his sword and the magical Oraclos Chain, Aeron must defeat the creatures that lurk in the tower and harvest their meat to feed to Elena. Only by eating all of the “master flesh”, harvested from the largest monsters within each tower, will Elena be fully cured of the curse and free from its monstrous grip.

As you progress, the weight of Elena’s predicament will spur you on, her physical appearance becoming more grotesque the longer it takes you to overcome each tower. Minutes matter as you race to bring her the remains of your foes, an on-screen indicator changing colour to warn you of how advanced the mutation is becoming in your absence. When you’re with Elena, your interactions will determine the strength of your overall relationship, a bond which could vary dramatically and will result in the game coming to one of numerous alternate endings.

Items collected throughout your journey can be traded with Mavda, a mysterious merchant carrying a strange skeletal creature on her back, who comes to your aid. With her, you can upgrade your weapons and even create new items by combining two or more items that you have found on your journey. The items that you have discovered while exploring the towers can be given to Elena as gifts to increase your affinity or be used help you on your quest to battle the 13 masters.

Enter the shadowy world of Pandora’s Tower on Wii for a novel adventure experience that demands your devotion as a player. As time ticks away, the fate of your friend grows all the more unthinkable and the effects of evil stare you in the face even as you fight to suppress them. Do you have the heart for a fight that is guaranteed to get personal?

Part 1: Introduction & Observatory

The victim of a cruel curse, Elena is undergoing a horrific transformation into a grotesque beast.

Determined to find a way to cure her, Aeron takes up the Oraclos Chain and plunges into the Thirteen Towers, where truly terrifying monsters await him.

The words of their companion Mavda offer them their only hope: within the Thirteen Towers reside the masters, and by consuming their flesh, Elena may escape the curse.

This is the tale of the bond between Aeron and Elena, and the vow they make to each other to defeat the curse and be together once again.

Tip: When Aeron is in the Towers, the round gauge will empty. This represents the curse’s progress. Always keep an eye on the Curse Gauge in the bottom-right of your screen. You must restore the gauge by giving Elena flesh from the Towers.

Here’s some background info about Elena’s curse.

“Throughout the land, rumours are rife of a terrible curse that transforms its victims into beasts.

Those afflicted by the curse are said to bear a curious mark, as if their skin has somehow been branded. The curse’s progress is said to be remorseless, and once it has progressed beyond a certain point, the victim will never recover their human form.

Yet nothing is known about the true nature of the curse, and there are many who doubt its very existence.

But now, in the year 511 of the Unified Era, a terrible incident has occurred. At the Harvest Festival in the city of Helycon, the temple maiden Elena has launched a ferocious attack on the festival goers.

Witnesses say that before she ran amok, this maiden had taken the blood-chilling form of a monstrous beast…”

Part 2: The Next Morning… & Treetop Tower

Tip: Chat and give gifts to Elena to enhance affinity. The couple’s bond will influence fate. In fact it helps determine which of the five endings you’ll get.

As we climb the stairs of the first tower called Treetop Tower, let’s give some background about the 14 towers.

“Countless leagues from the bustling capital of the kingdom there lies the desolate valley known as The Scar. A gaping maw of unfathomable depth, at its centre hangs a vast construction held in place by huge chains. These are the Thirteen Towers.

Each of the Thirteen Towers has its own distinct design, inhabited by beasts known as servants who do all they can to protect the master enshrined at the heart of each Tower.

Aeron grips the Oraclos Chain which Mavda has entrusted to him. He feels the curious power that pulses through it as he heads into the Towers, searching for the flesh of the masters and the only hope that Elena has of recovery.”

What are the “masters” you fight in the 13 boss battles in each tower?

The “masters” are a sort of living weapon, created half a century ago. The Observatory and the Thirteen Towers were once used by the army of Elyria. They experimented with making weapons from living things.

Part 3 & 4: Dawn & Sheerdrop Spire

Story background:

“It is the year 511 of the Unified Era.

For two years, an uneasy peace has been in place between Elyria, the kingdom of Elena’s birth, and the alliance of rival states that includes Athos, home of Aeron. While the war-ravaged land has taken on some semblance of stability, the only people permitted to cross borders remain the Vestra. Skirmishes continue between the neighbouring kingdoms, and disease and poverty still stalk the land.”

Part 4 continues the Sheerdrop Spire tower and includes the 2nd tower’s master boss fight.

Part 5 & 6: Night & Wellspring Steeple

About Beast Flesh: The power of the flesh to hold the curse at bay does not vary according to the amount eaten. If I consume one piece, will return to my human form. The closer it is to living flesh, the more powerful it is. That way, I will stay in my human form for longer. Away from the Towers, Flesh will dry out, so it cannot be stored in the trunk. Mavda (the travelling merchant lady) will buy any meat that’s left over. Just don’t ask what she uses it for.

Part 6 continues the Wellspring Steeple tower and has the 3rd tower’s master boss fight.

Part 7: Crimson Keep
