Wii U Release Date Rumored For USA

The Nintendo Wii U release date is rumored to be on Sunday, November 18th, 2012 in America. With Japan following one week later. No European date has been leaked.

This rumor comes from an email WiiUDaily has received from a Japanese retailer, thus you should take this with a grain of salt. But considering the Wii originally also launched on a Sunday back on November 19th, 2006, it’s possible Nintendo has set the dates for November 2012 in line with their vague “late 2012” launch expectation.

Wii U is Nintendo’s upcoming new console that includes a controller with a 6.2-inch touch screen, and also has a accelerometer, a gyroscope, a rumble feature, an inward-facing camera, a microphone, speakers, and all the controller buttons you’d need. Nintendo promises that adding a second screen to the living room creates a multitude of new video game experiences for your TV setup.

We’ll let you know as soon as Nintendo officially confirms the Wii U release dates, which will happen at their E3 2012 press conference on June 5th, 2012. We’ll be quick about it, mainly because I cannot wait to get my hands on the Wii U! 😀

Will you be getting a Wii U at launch later this year?
