New Little King’s Story For PS Vita Is Reimagining

Fans of 2009’s Wii-exclusive Little King’s Story, have long awaited Little King’s Story 2. While not quite a sequel, and more of a reimagining, the PlayStation Vita-exclusive New Little King’s Story does continue the series!

It’s been released by Konami in Japan this week where it’s called “The King, The Demon King and the Seven Princesses: New King Story.” It will be getting an English version as it’ll be out in Europe later in 2012. No American release has been confirmed.

New Little King’s Story combines RPG & strategy with town building mechanics, and adds love elements to the story. The “Little King” wears a mysterious crown that allows you to influence others in your kingdom, in order to help improve it by recruiting all sorts of followers, and of course you must battle monsters along the way to dominating the world.

Developer Marvelous has said the PS Vita version features include:

  • Touch screen controls.
  • New visual style for the characters.
  • Day and night transitions.
  • Your actions have environmental impact.
  • You can work with a friend to greatly speed up item synthesis.
  • Certain missions will be ranked, allowing you to compete with a friend for the best completion time and earn special titles.
  • After the New Little King’s Story release DLC packs will become available, these include items such as costumes and a doctor set.
