Lollipop Chainsaw from Kadokawa Games, Grasshopper Manufacture and WB Games has been given a new trailer. In it we’re introduced to the Swan character, who is at the epicenter of the zombie outbreak in this game with chainsaw wielding cheerleader.

It looks like cheerleader Juliet Starling and “goth geek b*stard” Swan will be facing off a lot in the game.

Lollipop Chainsaw will be released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

I’m still not sure what to think of this action game. It’s obviously banking on the lead’s sex appeal, but I’m unclear if it’s over-obvious way of doing so is putting more people off than not. What I can tell you is that the developer Grasshopper is responsible for several over-the-top funny – yet incredibly under-rated – recent games like No More Heroes 2 and Shadows of the Damned. But perhaps its success depends on only one question…
