There’s generally 2 sides to the topics.
The first side is, obviously the most important, the customers. From a customer’s point of view this is an advantage because, obviously, we’re getting free games. On top of this, PSP games don’t have much value and instead of buying all the games that one desires, it’s better to get them for free.
The second side, and I believe the final side, is the Publishers and Developers. It’s a disadvantage for them because obviously when the consumers of a market are manipulating the product to receive free games, then not only does the Publishers and Developers of the system not make profit but the Developers and Publishers of the games for the system as well.
So again this falls under your statement saying the ratio is 1:1.
Yet, it’s good if the Vita is hacked or modded for that matter. If it is then customers will get all the games they want but the companies wont make any profit (If that’s the view you’re expressing by saying ”lets hope the vita dont get hacked”). It really depends on timing. Modders and hackers of the original PSP took some time to develop Custom Firmware and on top of this they’re still improving it by creating updates and different versions. Assume the case for the Apple company. When the iPad was released or I think it was one of the newer generations of the iPod or iPhone, about the very next day or week after release, I believe, hackers developed a jailbreak for the system. Thus, reducing the sales in apps from many developers. So I’m going to assume that maybe for the Vita, modders will try their best to start to develop Custom Firmware for the system. Maybe it might take some time, due to that fact that it’s a newer version of the PSP with different software and hardware, but rest assured it’s highly likely that custom firmware will hit the Vita.
Also, keep in mind, for every newly released system, or any system for that matter, there will always be hacks, mods, and custom content created by customers.

That’s a tremendous idea. TT games should at least publish the game for PSP owners as well. In my opinion, they’re just releasing it for the Vita to increase sales for the system POSSIBLY. Yet I agree on every level that the game should at least be on the PSN Store. It’s kind of odd how they’re releasing it for the original Nintendo DS along with the 3DS; yet TT games cannot do the same for PSP.
I’m a little mind boggled on your statement ”the syste hasn’t been popular in the West anymore”. Well based on what? How has the original PSP become unpopular in recent years? I mean could it be the fact that programmers and so called ”Modders” have hacked the PSP to be able to run Custom Firmware in order to obtain free games. In that case, I think that should increase the sales of the PSP itself, if the customer has the intention of getting free games. Secondly, the Nintendo DS has been hacked to run non-official chips that supply free games. On top of that, I’m pretty sure that ”Modders” will soon find a gateway to hacking the Vita. Another reason could be the shortage in variety of the games for PSP. I mean there isn’t much to the PSP game market other than the Grand Theft Auto series, RPG games (Including JAP RPG’s), The Lego Series, Little Big Planet, and some considerable Naruto games. (I’m probably missing many games that aren’t coming to my head, but I hope the gist is manifested).
In conclusion, the main question I’m asking is What has made the PSP unpopular and why?

As for your question about a PSP release. I had to double-check myself when I wrote this and there really is no PSP version. Sorry but even as a fellow PSP owner I think the system hasn’t been popular in the West anymore for many years. If sales on PSP were that bad, perhaps instead of a retail release, they can put it as a download-only title on the PSN Store?

By: Roshaan http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2012/01/09/lego-batman-2-dc-super-heroes-announced-officially.htm/comment-page-1#comment-972734 Roshaan Mon, 09 Jan 2012 18:55:00 +0000 http://www.videogamesblogger.com/?p=45340#comment-972734    It’s like TT games knew what I wanted for my Birthday! Just based on the information that is given, anyone can say that this game will be a huge hit and will most likely beat the sales that of its predecessor. I really just can’t believe that Batman and Robin will team up with Wonder Woman and Superman against Joker and Lex.
I was so excited to hear that TT games will be including superpowers and features for the characters. As it reads in the article ”all new abilities including flight, super-breath and heat vision”. I knew that TT games would factor in some type of feature like that. I hope that the gameplay of the powers or abilities will resemble that of the Justice League game for PSP. Where most of the characters had the ability to fly and interact with objects and such. However, ”Flight” can be interpreted differently…I mean could they be referring to the actual power of flying for Superman and Green Lantern, or can they be hinting the use of Wonder Woman’s invisible plane? It could be a possibility, because TT games is using Batman’s batmobile and batwing, so there’s no question as to why they can’t use Wonder Woman’s invisible plane. Let’s cross our fingers and hope for chips to fall in the right places haha.
I was actually stood corrected as I read this article. Before on another article, that was predicting the making of this game, I believe I had assumed or predicted that TT games should or would make a storyline that will incorporate all or most of the villains. However, I do agree with them as to why they picked Lex and Joker. Mainly because Joker is a man villain of the Batman and Robin series and Lex of the Superman series. Yet, there’s villains to consider both for Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, but I think that TT games is trying to form the storyline and gameplay based on their own original story (Obviously) and not referring to any type of TV show, Movie, or Comic Book series/storyline. On top of that, they’re just creating a game for entertainment and enjoyment purposes for mostly families and youth. They’re not focusing on the hardcore Comic Book series that most people would enjoy, yet that’s a good thing because the Lego games are just for all around fun and not all this Comic Book or TV type of politics with storylines and continuous parts and blah blah blah. I expect no disappointment from TT games on the villain aspect because we have Joker with his witty aptitude and Lex with his clever and devious ways, which makes a perfect villain duo for the game. I’m not sure how far they can take they story with just two villains, I mean in the original Lego Batman there was a variety of villains with a full fledged storyline, but with only two villains in the game, the only storyline assumption I can come up with is Joker and Lex stirring up mischief in Gotham and the crime fighters coming to the rescue; that, or world domination Lol.
Pertaining to the directors from TT games quoting that they will be offering great customization options is a total plus. I hope they can improve the system with more options in customizing your character as a villain or superhero other than the given suits and clothing, like what they did in the original Lego Batman.
Basically, this game will for sure be another great hit added in collection to TT’s games Lego collection.
Also, can you confirm if the game will be on PSP as well? Because many people, including myself, only have PSP and not Vita and I was really hoping to snatch the game for PSP.
