    The $16,000 MMORPG Sword

Happy New Year! “Nerdy News” is a mini-news show geared towards gamers, technosexuals, and all other geeky peeps.

In this forty-seventh episode of Nerdy News, I’ll be reporting on:

    • A $16,000 in-game sword for a yet-to-be released MMORPG called Age of Wulin.
    • The corporate battle over Rock Band is still going strong.
    • Cloud gaming is the hot topic for 2012.
    • More senior citizens are using motion gaming for exercise.

Here’s the new episode of Nerdy News!

    What do you think?

What’s your video game budget? Is spending $16,000 on an in-game item too much or just right for a die-hard fan? Are the former shareholders of Harmonix entitled to more than the $383 million they were awarded? Has cloud gaming already affected the way you game? What ways will cloud gaming be better or worse than physical products?

If you have any advice or tips on how I can improve these videos let me know in the comments! Thanks for all of your opinions! ^_^

Happy New Year to you too Laura :)
And yes that price is nuts, but I’ve heard it before in virtual worlds like Second Life where hardcore players would buy expensive virtual properties to run shops from and/or resell for a profit.

Oh my gosh, I had to try so hard to keep a straight face talking about this guy who must have a lot of disposable income. I tend to be very frugal so spending $16,000 on anything I can’t live in just wouldn’t happen.

That’s true, I’ve never even played Second Life but I’ve browsed many of their virtual shops and there is some stuff that is very expensive but also cool. That’s one of the reasons I can’t play, I’d end up spending too much money ^_^
