Dragon Age 3 Features More Open World

Dragon Age 3 will be comparable to Skyrim, drawing from the true open-world nature and the best-features of Bethesda’s Game of the Year. In what would past muster as a huge case of “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.”

To that end, the creators of “Dragon Age 2, which got mixed reviews from both critics and consumers alike, say they have learned from the strengths and weaknesses of Dragon Age 2, and will draw from titles like Skyrim in order to improve Dragon Age.

To quote Wired,

“The next Dragon Age is gonna have the best of features from the prior Dragon Age games, but it’s also gonna have a lot of things I think players are gonna find compelling from some of the games that are out now that are doing really well with more of an open world feel,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare to Wired. “We’re checking The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim out aggressively. We like it. We’re big admirers of Bethesda and the product. We think we can do some wonderful things. How do we combine the new innovations we brought in Dragon Age 2 with the experience people were looking for in Dragon Age: Origins?”

Other returning features will include the ability to equip your characters, something that was missing in Dragon Age 2. He also stated that Dragon Age 2 will “surprise and delight” fans, saying he saw something compelling recently… Whether he is referring to the possibility of Dragon Age 3 featuring online multiplayer or not wasn’t confirmed. They did confirm that Dragon Age 2 would have the “most realistic beards ever in videogames.” Though whether he was being sarcastic or not remains to be seen…
