Many Dead or Alive 5 characters will be playable for Xbox 360 and PS3 when the fighting game releases in September 2012. So far, most of the characters announced are returning favorites, but the game will also have brand new characters, as well as Virtua Fighter guest character.

The list of confirmed playable characters is 25 so far, although only 7 have been officially announced. So the complete Dead Or Alive 5 roster may grow as more characters are confirmed and added here.

Update March 23, 2012: Thanks to Sectus for discovering the Dead Or Alive 5 character list hidden in the Ninja Gaiden 3 executable. That models leak also confirmed most characters in the final roster will have 6 costumes to choose from.
